Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Spectroom is developed by Milan Tomáš, an independent developer based in the Czech Republic. Contact: milan.tomas.cz@gmail.com

2. What data the app stores

Spectroom stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Routines you create — challenge titles, steps, and settings you enter in the builder.
• Voice recordings — audio recordings you make for individual steps, stored as audio files on your device.
• Preferences — your child's name (optional), chosen language (Czech / English), and whether you have seen the onboarding screen.
• Photos — if you add photos to steps from your camera or gallery, copies are stored on the device in the app's private folder.

All of this data lives exclusively in the app's private storage on your device. It is not synced, backed up, or transmitted anywhere.

3. What data we do NOT collect

• No personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, device ID).
• No location data.
• No usage analytics or crash reporting.
• No advertising identifiers.
• No health or medical data.
• No data about your child beyond what you optionally type into the app.

4. Third-party services

Spectroom does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The app makes no network requests during normal use.

5. Children's privacy

Spectroom is a tool for parents and caregivers. It is not directed at children directly. No personal information about children is collected, transmitted, or shared. All data remains on the device under the parent's control.

This app complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including its provisions for children's data.

6. Data sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or transmit any data to any third party — because we do not collect any data to share.

7. Data deletion

To delete all app data, uninstall Spectroom from your device. This permanently removes all stored routines, recordings, photos, and preferences. You can also delete individual voice recordings or routines from within the app.

8. Security

All data is stored in the app's private on-device storage, which is protected by Android's application sandbox. Other apps cannot access Spectroom's data.

9. Permissions

Spectroom may request the following Android permissions:

• RECORD_AUDIO — to record parent voice narrations for routine steps. Used only when you tap the microphone button.
• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_MEDIA_IMAGES — to let you pick photos from your gallery for routine steps.
• CAMERA — to take photos directly for routine steps.

These permissions are only used for the features described and never used to collect or transmit data.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date. We will not change the policy in ways that compromise the no-data-collection commitment without prominent notice.
